Who is Jacklyn Anton?

Hello, my name is Jacklyn Anton, and I love the medical field! I've been a nurse for nearly 18 years.

I started my career in the Operating room watching plastic surgeons and cosmetic surgeons use their amazing skills to re-design the human body.

I continue to chat with the doctors I've worked for in the past, and I phone new plastic surgeons on a regular basis to gather information for you.

My favorite surgical procedures to participate in were the reconstructive surgeries.

I remember, in particular, one eight year old girl who was having multiple plastic cosmetic surgeries performed on her face.

She had been in a car accident and had suffered facial scarring.

I felt a rush of excitement while watching the plastic surgeon use his medical training and his artistic gifts to produce a beautiful cosmetic surgery result for that little girl.

My job at the time was to administer the IV medications for what is known as "conscious sedation" (where you're awake, but don't remember the surgical procedure).

I had some free time while doing my job to observe the cosmetic surgery and the surgeons. I asked questions constantly.  The doctors were very patient gave me good information beyond my nurses training...and my curiosity kept growing.

I'm retired now and I still love learning about and teaching information about plastic cosmetic surgery.

I actually had a couple of negative experiences with surgery myself and learned later that recovery from surgery didn't have to be so difficult.  I wondered if anyone else felt bloated, depressed, lethargic, or had brain fog after their surgeries. So I began researching and have had surgeries since then that were quite easy to recover from.

There are always new and better ways to recover from surgery. I am still learning. I'll keep passing along the great information when I find something that will get you back on your feet faster so you can do what you love.

When I'm not peppering doctors and plastic surgeons with questions, (yes, they still let me ask as much as I want to) I'm researching the latest in health news, vitamins, minerals and natural healing methods that might help us all recover faster from cosmetic surgery (or any type of surgery for that matter).

A little more about me...

In my spare time I like to cook and eat organic, snorkel with the fish around the reef and hike a hillside or two.

I've been know to scuba dive on occasion; one of my kids scuba dives with me as well (she'll eat organic food, too, if I cook it for her!).

I love music; classical, new age and rock and roll. I enjoy the Opera, Theater and a wide variety of literature. Favorite book: "Tarzan of the Apes" by Edgar Rice Burroughs...

Please remember as with anything you learn or read, your plastic surgeon knows best.

Always follow your doctor's advice!

I'm a nurse, and nurses don't diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any diseases and the information on this site doesn't do any of that either...I'm reporting information to you so you can work closely with your doctor.

I wouldn't be able to share this information with you if it weren't for the generous and gifted doctors and plastic surgeons who have taken time to teach me. Many thanks to all of them!

I'm wishing you all the best as you work with your plastic surgeon for your best possible outcome!

Have a great recovery,

Jacklyn Anton
